In 1979, Jon Batson started a publishing company to handle the music he wrote for records, TV and film. He called his company Midnight Whistler, after a small but noisy bird who sang at midnight outside his Hollywood, CA window. After a string of musicals, a plethora of recordings and a few TV shows, Midnight Whistler is alive and well publishing books. But let us not forget that it all began with music.
